Pentyrch Community Council Offices

Pentyrch Community Council bought the old Police Station from the South Wales Police in 2000 and from where all the administration and maintenance of all Council property is carried out.  The police initially maintained a presence at the Police Station but this ceased in 2012.  The offices, museum and library are open on Fridays from 10-noon.

Creigiau Recreation Ground

The Pentyrch Community Council owns the area known as Creigiau Recreation Ground.  The Creigiau Recreation Charity now lease the playing field and pavilion from PCC as of 24.12.2020.   Main sporting clubs that use the Rec are Creigiau Cricket Club, Creigiau Football Club, Creigiau Tennis Club, The Cambrian Bowmen, the Dynevor Gardening Association and the Creigiau Petanque Club.  There is also a skateboard park (owned by Cardiff CC).   The area was adopted by Fields in Trust as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 to be dedicated as a public open space.

Bronllwyn Graveyard

Council Library

The library was established in the summer of 2013 as a Community resource making good use of the room formerly occupied by the Police.  The library is well-stocked and the idea is that people bring in books and then take out different books and make a small donation for doing so.  The donations will then be added on a yearly basis to the grants given to local organisations to boost their funds.
