One Voice Wales One Voice Wales, was established in April 2004 as a single all Wales body to represent Town and Community Councils in Wales. The majority of Town and Community councils are currently members. We employ 6 staff in total. In addition to our Chief Executive we employ 3 regional officers who service the needs ofour 16 Area Committees and who also specialise in one of the following areas – finance, training and marketing & communication. We have two administrative staff based in our Ammanford office.
We have divided Wales into 16 areas each with an Area Committee who each elect two members to a National Executive Committee responsible for managing the affairs of the organisation. In addition to the National Executive Committee we also have three further committees namely Finance & General Purposes, Education & Training and Policy.
Our Area Committees meet regularly to discuss topics of interest to all members large or small. They are able to discuss issues that cross council boundaries and flag up matters of regional or national importance.
Contact us on 01269 595400 for an informal chat about joining or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Membership fees are based on the size of your Council measured by the number of chargeable dwellings for council tax purposes.
